Along with the classic Topps designs, when the Topps Company bought out the old Bowman card company they had access to all the old Bowman designs as well. Naturally, a Bowman heritage set was born. While, the idea is the same as the Topps Heritage, I give Topps some credit with the Bowmans. Once they ran out of “old” designs, they stopped the set. They didn’t create designs in the style of the Bowmans, or anything like that. They just said, enough is enough. Although, I’m assuming the Bowman Heritage set using the 1992 designs isn’t far off.
Once again, Mike Lowell isn’t smiling in his picture. I wonder what the deal is?
Happy Mike Lowell Day!
