Lots of Pix!

Loyal reader, and frequent contributor, Bryanne attended a game with her friend Leah a few weeks ago. As she always does, she sent along pictures from the game. Unfortunately, their seats were all the way over in section 33. (That’s the orange from the Gulf sign behind them in the picture.) The 100-degree heat that night prevented them from making the trek the length of the seating area to Section 36. So, they did the next best thing. Bryanne took pictures of Section 36 from section 33. It was a great view from over there. Be sure to head over to Pix from 36 to see the selection Bryanne sent, as well as other recent additions from other readers.

Bryanne also sent over several other pictures of things that weren’t Section 36. Be on the lookout for them as I use them in future posts.

As always, thanks to Bryanne for the wonderful pictures!

Walk-off Pix from 36

Loyal reader Bryanne was kind enough to send in more pix. This time it was from Sunday’s game. Let’s not waste any time and see what she sent us.

I like this shot of the seats. There’s some grime on the floor, but it makes for a nice picture.

OK. I guess that one is for the ladies.

This is a great shot of the Carl Crawford mob. When I see celebration shots like this one, I love the inclusion of an opposing player. In this case, it was Ichiro’s misplay that allowed the winning run to score. I can just imagine what is going through his mind as he is forced to run right by the celebration.

And here’s a shot of our benefactor, Bryanne herself. Looks like she’s enjoying the result of the game very much. Thanks again Bryanne!

Keep those Pix from 36 coming!

Another of Those Great Pix from 36!

The Pix from 36 keep coming in. Thanks everyone!

This one is another from Jere, who had great seats last weekend. The very last row in Section 36 it appears. Look at the great shot he was able to get.

I don’t know if that’s Jere’s shirt in the picture, but it’s a nice one. I also like how Jere was able to get the Section 36 label in the picture, even if it’s at a bit of an angle. Thanks again, Jere, for sending this in.

And everyone else can keep sharing their Pix from 36!

More Pix from 36!

Today I’m sharing some Pix from 36 sent in by loyal reader Bryanne. She attended one of the Blue Jays game during the last homestand, and sent in these great shots.

This first one is just a great classic shot of the view from Section 36. No matter how many times I see this shot, or one similar to it, I always find it interesting. It just never gets old.

The second shot shows off the fact that Bryanne must have a nice camera. That’s a very tight action shot to get from so far away.

As is the next one. There’s so much going on in this picture too. The strikeout at home. The play at second. (I don’t think he’s going to make it, do you?) A great shot.

So, thanks to Bryanne for sending in these great photos! Hopefully she’ll send in more from her next trip to Fenway.

And, hopefully everyone else will keep send in their own Pix from 36.

Page for Pix from 36!

I’ve finally gotten around to finding a permanent (at least for now) home for all the wonderful pix from 36 that people have sent me. Check out the page link at the right of the blog to see the whole collection. And, don’t forget to keep taking and sending your own pix of, in, or from Section 36…wherever that Section 36 happens to be. Thanks to everyone who has already sent in pix.

And keep them coming!

Pix from 36?

Jim, author of the fabulous blog The Phillies Room, recently sent over his Pix from 36. Unfortunately, Jim has a problem. He’s a Phillies fan. Now, that hasn’t been much of a problem the last five years or so. But, in this case it is. There is no Section 36 at Citizen’s Bank Park. So, what’s a guy to do? Jim came up with a great solution.

Yup. Section 136. Nicely done. Jim was also kind enough to include a shot of the view from Section 137. We’ll assume it’s probably the same view as 136.

That’s a nice looking park. Thanks Jim for sending the pictures along. Hopefully everyone else is remembering their camera when they go to game.

I love sharing your Pix from 36!

Opening Day Pix from 36!

A few loyal readers were fantastic enough to send in some pictures they took on Opening Day in Section 36. I could bore you with a long discussion, but I figured it would make sense to just jump right in.

The first two are from Jere over at A Red Sox Fan from Pinstripe Territory. He snuck over to Section 36 before the game, and took a couple shots. One shows a little bit of the pregame activities. The other is a nice artistic shot of the seats in the Section.

The next photo is from Kristen of redsoxdiehard.com fame. She shared a picture of the seats around her way up in Section 36. I like how both Jere and Kristen got the “Section 36” label on the back wall in their pictures. They’re both great shots that I should probably hang on a wall or something.

The last picture is from loyal reader Sean. This shot is a bit closer to gametime, since the stands are starting to fill up.

So, thank you to all three of them for sharing their Pix from 36! I’ll put them all together on a page with the others that have come in already so everyone can enjoy them.

And, keep sending in your own Pix from 36!

A Pic From 36!

A big thanks to Jere of A Red Sox Fan from Pinstripe Territory for sending in the first Pic from 36. To make it even more special, it’s a visiting park. The Ballpark in Arlington! Let’s take a look.

My first reaction to the picture was that it looked like it was photoshopped. It’s like there are two completely different parks in the background, with the dividing line between the Southwest and JC Penny ads. It’s just strange looking. But, I guess it’s a real photo. It loos like Section 36 in Arlington would have a great view for the game. Thanks, Jere, for sending it in.

Keep the pictures coming everyone!

I Want your Pix from 36!

With the season almost right on top of us, I thought I’d send out a request. I thought it might be fun to have a new feature here at Section 36. The working title will be “Pix from 36.” Clever, I know. What will it be, exactly? Pretty much just what it sounds like. I’d like to show off pictures taken in Section 36. I’ll set up a gallery of some kind to keep them on permanent display. I think it will be a lot of fun.

But, that’s where I need your help. I want you to send me your photos. Do you have a picture of you sitting or standing in Section 36? Do you have a picture you took from Section 36? If you do, send it along so we can share it with everyone. And, if you’re going to a game this year, you can take a picture then. Even if your seats aren’t in Section 36, I’m sure you can fine a moment to run over there and snap a picture. I’m going to start us off with a couple examples I already have. One if from Ruben, our reigning Scavenger Hunt Champion. This is a great pregame shot in Section 36.

The other is a picture I took. I’ll be sure to get a pic whenever I get to a game this year to add to the collection.

Don’t worry if you never get to Fenway. I’d love to see pictures from Section 36 in other Parks as well. If Citizens Bank Park has a section 36, Jim can run over there next time he’s at a game for a quick photo. Or anywhere else for that matter.

So, find your old pix from 36. Remember to take new pix from 36. Send them along to Section36 at gmail dot com so we can all enjoy them.

This should be fun!
