This week is MS Awareness Week. As as attempt to try to help raise multiple sclerosis awareness, I thought I'd contribute a couple "orange" themed posts this week. Here's the first one.
Let's talk about this card...
Definitely hoping for big things from Sale this year. OK. Maybe not "big". Honestly, I just need him to be average and make most of his starts. If he can do that, and stop the Red Sox from needing their eighth starter, the team should be in good shape. Now, if he can be better than that? Now, that could make for a special season.
The Big League set itself is a little confusing to me. Even without the fact that the 2021 set was released in 2022. What role is this set filling? Something like Opening Day but using a different design? Is there a purpose for another cheap little fun set? Does a cheap little fun set need orange parallels? Could Topps not find a less attractive color for the borders?

If you are able, I highly recommend you support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's efforts with a donation. You can find the link here.

From what I understand, Topps is doing away with Opening Day, so it looks like Big League will be the set geared "for kids"...
ReplyDeleteHadn't heard that yet. I guess that makes sense.
