The Stage has been set. The Match is underway. Who will come out on top? There’s only one way to find out.
Keep going, and open that fourteenth pack!
As we dive into this pack, 1990 has extended its commanding lead in the match thanks to its victory in pack thirteen! Can it keep extending its lead? Let's see!
Well, that's not the best start. This incredibly boring card of Tim Stoddard knocks 1988 back to -2.
That's better. This great second year card of Barry Larkin brings the pack total up to -1.
And back to the starting point. This card featuring two Hall of Famers still only counts as one point. I've always been a fan of the SuperStar Special series of cards. This is no exception, with a great pairing.
That's more like it. This Hall of Famer brings the points into positive values. A great card with the pinstripes matching nicely with the card border stripes.
And here we have what is most likely the best card in either box. It's weird to think that I just opened a box of cards that contains the rookie card of a Hall of Famer.
With that, the 1998 pack ends its scoring, with +2. How will the 1990 pack fare?
There's a good start. This plain card of George Brett nets the pack a point, and the lead is cut in half.
Well, This won't help. The Yankees card pushes the pack total below zero.
And this is where it will stay. The pack is done. The long streak for 1990 has ended, and 1988 has finally returned to the winner's circle.
Box Bottom: 1988 +1 (1-0)
