2022 Panini USA Baseball Stars and Stripes Blaster!

Since it's the Fourth of July, I thought it was the perfect day to look at this blaster break. I didn't really know what to expect from it, other than not much. It's one thing to open Bowman blasters knowing that the prospects won't be stars for a couple more years, if ever. It's another thing to open packs featuring college and high school kids. Not only is the probability of stardom less, but it'll take a bit longer to find out. But, the box promised 2 hits. So, they could be fun...especially of one of those is a big star. How'd I do?

Let's find out!

Here's the box. I mean, with "36" cards per box, how can you go wrong?

And the six packs.

And here are the cards. I'm not familiar with Logan Tanner. But, he's on the collegiate national team, so at least he should be close to knowing what he is.

Carson Page here is on the 15U national team. Now, I know that the Red Sox had their eye on Xander Bogaerts since he was like sixteen. But, at this point Carson probably needs some time to find his way. The cards are fun, by the way. Very shiny as Panini loves to do.

Druw Jones is a bit older, on the 18U National team. But, again, still a high schooler. But, Mike Trout was in high school once.

And my first hit is this Cole Schoenwetter relic. Cole is in the national team development program. Really, it says so right on the card. So, if he develops into something big, this would be a fun card to have.

Not as fun as this one though! Sebastian Segura here is in the athlete development program, and I have an auto relic of his numbered to 25. In fact, this is number 1 of 25. If he turns into Fernando Tatis Jr, this will be a lot of fun. Although, the back of his card only mentions his defense so that seems less likely. But you never know!

So, it's hard to say this was a "fun" box to open, flipping through 36 cards of guys I've never heard of. But, it resulted in a couple fun relics to hold on to and see where things go. Who know, maybe is a few years Sebastian Segura is making his major league debut for the Red Sox and I'm pulling this card out and showing it to everyone.

Have you opened any of this yet?
